About

My current position is a postdoctoral fellow at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ, or in English, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).

History

I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio called Pepper Pike with 2 brothers (Eric - older and Matthew - younger). I graduated from Orange High School in 1998, and then went off to (the) Ohio State University to earn a BS in Mechanical Engineering in the Fall of 2002. I then found my way to Northwestern for graduate school where I met my wife, Lindsay Karfeld, and received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2009.
