Welcome to James Sulzer's Webpage
This website is a collection of what's current in my life (at least since the last time I've updated it). You'll find out about what my research is, see a lot of pictures in the gallery, and maybe find out some more info if you look hard enough. I apologize for the construction, this is a new webpage and under constant updating.
About
I'm currently a PhD student at Northwestern University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I'm a member of two labs: the Sensory Motor Performance Program (SMPP) at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) under the guidance of Prof. James Patton, and the Laboratory of Intelligent Mechanical Systems (LIMS) under the guidance of Prof. Michael Peshkin.
History
I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio called Pepper Pike with 2 brothers (Eric - older and Matthew - younger). I graduated from Orange High School in 1998, and then went off to (the) Ohio State University to earn a BS in Mechanical Engineering in the Fall of 2002. After returning from a bartending excursion in London, I decided to attend Northwestern for graduate school where I met my wife, Lindsay Karfeld.
Acknowledgements
I'd like to thank Matthieu Chardon for building me this website, as well as supplying the slogan (Cleveland > Paris, or in other words, Cleveland is greater than Paris - Matt's hometown)
